Geeta Gana Prophecy Campaigner, Founder of Bhagavad Gita Foundation Dr. L V Gangadhara Shastri – Kamma vari association Bangalore North, Yelahanka participated in Viswavasu New Year Ugadi celebrations and gave Geeta Gana preaching as an inspiration. He preached on the practice of Bhagavad Gita in daily life. “As said by Kenopanishattu ‘Na chedihavedi nmahati vinashti’ Here, in this world, if we don’t realize this self-knowledge while a living being is in this body, it will be a great loss… Bhagavad Gita is the essence of the same Upanishaths…! Leave behind the impermanent and do the things that make you permanent.. That is why you have to travel in the path of righteousness.. .! Dharma is acceptable to all, all beneficent karma…! Money can bring you happiness but can’t give you peace.. Peace is achieved by sacrifice.. Sacrifice means – Offering the result to the god who gave the result to the God who gave the result not for selfishness… ! Whatever work is done should be done in a trikarana purification and dharma way. Should be done for the welfare of the world. We should leave the ego that is me and the arrogance that is mine… Ani the song preaches. Dutiful teaching done by Sri Krishna who has declared himself as the supreme, which is beyond religions… Bhagavad Gita! If you learn Geetha in childhood itself… That effect will be on the future.. ” said Gangadhara Shastri. Saying that even if you are far from the mother land, not to be far from mother tongue, mother culture, most importantly – not to make children as money making machines and spend enough valuable time with them and distribute the greatness of our culture as inherited wealth … Today’s generation, who are financially and physically strong, is saddened to see relationships break up and commit suicide because of being mentally weak. Bhagavad Gita said that the divine medicine for these mental weaknesses is the medicine. Gangadhara Shastri congratulated the organization’s president Sri Gummadi Sambasivarao and Saujanyaseeli Sri H Ramanjaneyulu for successfully organizing this program. Sriman Ravi Reddy’s family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to their ‘Bhagavad Gita Foundation’ which was established as the ultimate goal of Gita campaigning. Sri Janardhan and Sri Madduri Nagasharma couple thanked them for their warm hospitality. Members of Chivarana Kamma Sangham have done Sri Gangadhara Shastri with silk clothes.

Dr. L.V. Gangadhara Sastry, the founder of Bhagavadgita Foundation and a renowned musical discourse and propagation exponent of the Bhagavadgita, delivered an inspiring Gita musical discourse at the Vishwavasu Nama Ugadi celebrations organized by the Kamma Community Association, Bengaluru North, Yelahanka, upon their invitation. He spoke about the practical application of the Bhagavadgita in daily life. Quoting the Kenopanishad, he said:

“Na chedi haavedīn mahati vinaṣṭihi” –

“If one doesn’t realize this knowledge of the Self while living in this world and in this body, a great loss occurs.”

He emphasized that this is the essence of the Upanishads, which is reflected in the Bhagavadgita. He urged the audience to give up the impermanent and pursue that which is eternal, stating:

“You must walk the path of Dharma,

and Dharma is that which benefits all and brings the highest good to everyone.”

He explained: Money gives comfort, but not peace. Peace is attained through sacrifice. True sacrifice is offering the results of your actions not for selfish gain, but to the Divine who granted you those results. Whatever you do, do it with purity in thought, word, and deed — for the welfare of the world, and without ego or possessiveness.

Dr. Sastry stated that the Bhagavadgita teaches duty beyond religion, spoken by Lord Krishna Himself, who declared His divinity. He said that if children learn Gita from a young age, its impact will be profound on their future. He urged people not to lose touch with their mother tongue and cultural heritage, even if they live far from their motherland. He cautioned against turning children into mere money-earning machines, and encouraged parents to spend meaningful time with their children and pass on the greatness of our culture as a valuable inheritance. He lamented how today’s generation, though strong physically and financially, is mentally weak, which has led to broken relationships and rising suicides. He asserted that the divine cure for such mental weakness is the Bhagavadgita.

Dr. Sastry congratulated Sri Gummadi Sambasiva Rao, the president of the organizing committee, and the courteous Sri H. Ram Anjaneyulu for successfully hosting the event. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to Sri Ravi Reddy and family for their unforgettable support to the Bhagavadgita Foundation, which was founded with the sole mission of spreading the Gita. He also thanked Sri Janardhan and the couple Sri & Smt. Madduri Nagasharma for their warm hospitality. Finally, members of the Kamma Association honored Dr. Gangadhara Sastry with traditional silk garments in a gesture of Guru Satkar (reverence to a spiritual teacher).
