Make it a habit to read Bhagavad Gita which is beyond religions from childhood along with temporary. Dear parents! Spend your valuable time with your children at least one hour a day. Dr. L.V. Gangadhara Sastry garu, singer, global preacher and propagator of Bhagavadgita, founder and chairman of Bhagavadgita Foundation, shared an inspiring discourse at the annual celebrations of ‘Sankalp Vidyapeetham’ in Vikarabad on February 3, 2025, where he was the chief guest.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline in food, sleep, and daily routines. He urged students to stay clean, befriend those with good thoughts, and for girls to dress modestly. He advised them to study with focus and dedication, not just for ranks but for true knowledge, as neglecting education would mean wasting their parents’ hard work. He also encouraged participation in cultural activities and sports to balance mental and academic stress.

Dr. Gangadhara Sastry garu stressed that while English is necessary for the world, one must never forget their mother tongue, Telugu. He advised speaking Telugu at home even if English is used outside. He urged students to limit mobile and social media usage, watch movies with the awareness that they are merely entertainment, and recognize their true heroes—their selfless parents who dedicate their lives to them. He encouraged students to make their parents and teachers proud through their achievements and to contribute to their hometowns.

Warning against bad habits that harm mental and physical health, he emphasized the importance of respecting one’s mother, mother tongue, motherland, and culture. He advised making Bhagavadgita study a habit from childhood, understanding its essence beyond religious boundaries.

Addressing parents, he urged them to spend at least an hour daily with their children, instill mental strength in them, and raise them with spiritual values from an early age. He also emphasized that both parents and teachers should be strict in disciplining and training children.
